Always somebody elses fault

One of the things I love most is when some tinpot country complains about ‘foreign interfence’ in it’s internal politics be it Russia, Burma, the PRC or lately North Korea and Iran. These nations with weak or none existant civil society can only blame ‘them’ or more usually the USA for the failings of the current regime.

Of course the latest demonstrations over what is now clearly a rigged election in Iran have not been caused by popular discontent of a populace angry at having their votes stolen so Mr A can continue ruining Iran and trying to make it a nuclear power, no its all the fault of soemone else..primarily it seems the UK.

Mr A has attacked the USA but obviously the regime is still hoping for some easing of relations with the USA (ie removal of some sanctions etc) so he is using the UK as a hate proxy.

I’m just awaiting for proof that Neda Agha Soltan was actually murdered by a memeber of MI-6 in the offical iranian press.

On a more serious note, one has to worry that hezbollah and Hamas may be instructed by their sponsors in Iran to stoke up pressure on Isreal in order to offset any pressure on Iran thus leading to more instability in the region. Also i’m not certain that the latest wave of bombings in Iraq are solely the responsibility of Sunni extremists. Just because Shi’ites have been the target does not mean that the IRGC and it’s Al-Quds brigades are not responsible, as it makes ense to weaken the US’s position at a time when the Revolution is ‘under threat’.

So we can look forward to more prblems in Mid-east which of course will raise full prices whihc of course will help Irans best mate Hugo Chavez…

Finally despite Russia’s annoyance with Iran and recent dismissive statements about the possible launch of another Iranian satelitte, Russia again stood in the way of allowing the G8 to formally condemn the Iranian election vote rigging and resultant astatte sponsored violence. So as usual Russia sees the need to play against the West.

*EDIT* The reasoning behind Russia decision to be difficult could be revenge for this
